Yearly Project

Write a book Project 2014

Congratulations to all our writers!

These are the final figures for the year:

327 classes                313 teachers                 59 schools

             6,407 books               7,373 children

And now some comments about the Project:

Just wanted to contact you to thank you for all your help with the Write A Book project. This was the first year that St Peter's took part and it was an extremely positive experience for us all. We're very grateful for all your help and the work you put into organising it. We tracked the project on our blog - here are a list of the topics that we tagged as 'Write a Book' over the last number of months.

Many Thanks for the time and opportunity for my daughter.  She really enjoyed today.

A great opportunity for all children.

Congratulations on a fantastic evening yesterday. The children and their parents thoroughly enjoyed it and are all talk about their next books!  I appreciate the organisation that goes into an evening such as that.  For it to run so seamlessly takes dozens and dozens of hours or preparation. Well done agus go raibh maith agat.

Thank you for such an inspirational project.  My child was so delighted by the merit award.  Great sense of achievement.  Thanks to all those working behind the scenes.

Thank you.  It was a huge boost of confidence.

I had great fun doing the Write a book and great fun coming here!  Thank you.

UPDATE: 19th March 2014
The Write a book Project is now on its next phase, getting ready for the Ceremony on 31st March – see attached sign.

The letters with the names of the Merit books and the names of the children who wrote them are going out in
todays post, addressed to The Principal.

PLEASE!!! Check that their names are written correctly, that there are no misspellings in the book titles and that they have been allocated the right class - once the certificates are printed on 27 th March it won’t be possible to make any changes until after the Ceremony.

With regards to the
invitations, I intend to post them next Monday 24 th.  If you know of any child who will not attend the ceremony it is important that we know in advance so their names won’t be read out on the day.
